Overview
Jetpack Bro ("Jetpack Bro," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Jetpack Bro mobile application (the "App"), you agree to this Policy.
What We Collect
1. Account information
If you create an account or sign in, we collect the email address and/or phone number you provide to authenticate your account, send one-time passcodes, and communicate about the App.
2. Display name
If you choose a display name, we store it to operate leaderboards and related features.
3. Gameplay data
- When signed in: high scores, level progression, daily challenge attempts, remaining lives, and leaderboard participation are stored in our backend.
- When playing as a guest: high scores, progression, cosmetic selections, and preferences are stored only on your device.
4. Authentication and security metadata
When you authenticate, our backend may log IP address, user agent, timestamps, and session status to protect accounts and comply with legal requirements.
5. Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message.
We collect only what is needed to operate the App, secure accounts, and improve features. We do not collect advertising identifiers, analytics beacons, or social-media trackers.
How We Use Information
- Create and authenticate accounts and allow you to sign in across devices.
- Sync gameplay and operate leaderboards.
- Provide support and communicate important updates.
- Protect the App, investigate suspicious activity, and prevent abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sharing and Disclosure
Service providers (processors)
We use trusted vendors to host, store, and process data on our behalf (for example, Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; and email/SMS providers for one-time passcodes). These providers may use sub-processors and infrastructure providers and may be located in the United States or other countries. They are contractually required to process data only under our instructions and to implement appropriate safeguards.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or Jetpack Bro.
Business transfers
If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to this Policy.
Aggregated or de-identified data
We may use and share information that has been aggregated and/or de-identified so it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Data Storage and Retention
- Account and signed-in gameplay data are stored in secure databases located in the United States.
- Guest data remains on your device and is deleted if you remove the App or clear its storage.
- We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. If you use the in-App "Delete Account" feature or contact us, we will delete your account and associated gameplay records within a reasonable period, subject to lawful retention requirements and backups maintained for security and disaster recovery.
Your Choices and Rights
Guest play
You may use the App without creating an account. In that case, only local device data is stored.
Access, correction, deletion
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correct, or delete your personal information, and to receive a portable copy. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. To exercise rights, use the in-App tools where available or contact us.
Communications
We send essential service messages (e.g., passcodes, security alerts). You can opt out of non-essential messages by following the instructions in those messages.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards such as TLS in transit, restricted access controls, and hashed credentials/tokens. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and respond promptly to issues.
International Users
If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries with different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Third-Party Services and Links
Our service providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties you access through links from the App.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy in the App and revise the effective date. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
Limitation of Liability; Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT). JETPACK BRO AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS POLICY OR YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS POLICY OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US (IF ANY) FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) USD $10. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, STATUTE, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, AND EVEN IF A LIMITED REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE UNDER APPLICABLE PRIVACY LAWS THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE LIMITED.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Do not reuse passwords across services and promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.
Governing Law
Except where prohibited by applicable law, this Policy and any disputes arising out of or relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue for any permitted court action will be in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions do not allow these provisions; in that case, they apply only to the extent permitted.
